As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and changes, as do safety measures. As of January 2022, for the 2021-2022 school year classes are no longer closed for quarantine when a student or staff member tests positive. RACS currently implements the following safety measures in accordance with the current guidelines:
- Daily health screeners
- Vaccination required of all DOE staff members and visitors to the building
- Masking for all students and staff members
- Social distancing in the classrooms to the greatest extent possible
- Weekly testing of 20% of students (consent required)
- Test to Stay- at-home rapid test distribution to identified close contacts and symptomatic children
- Air purifiers in every classroom and the lunchroom
- Daily classroom cleaning with electromagnetic sprayers
