Reading, Writing, Phonics
RACS uses the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project for reading and writing instruction and FUNdations for phonics instruction in students in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. Our instructional approach emphasizes developing students that love to read and write and cultivating their own voice.
Mathematics
RACS uses the Envisions Math curriculum and emphasizes developing students conceptual understandings and making thinking visible. Our students have access to manipulatives, visuals, and various ways to model their thinking.
Science and Social Studies
RACS uses the Amplify Science curriculum and the Passport Social Studies curriculum. Our ELA units of study are integrated with science and social themes that support our students’ understanding of the world around them.
Cluster Offerings
RACS believes that students need a well rounded educational program that includes arts, computer science, and plenty of physical activity. All of our students receive instruction in art, music, computer science, and physical education each week.
