Statement of Equity
Children are the hope for the change we need to see in this country. Schools have a responsibility to provide children the tools they need to become agents of change. Our history has shown us that it is the young, not the old that create change in this country. When we teach children better, they do better.
The Riverdale Avenue Community School is committed to fostering a generation of children who know their black and brown identities are something to celebrate and honor. Our staff prioritize creating age-appropriate spaces that allow children to bring their experiences and questions about the world around them into classrooms. Our children deserve nothing less than for us to re-imagine how we can prepare them to create a better America for everyone.
